SQL Hints and Tips

This section looks at the fundamental basics of the Structured Query Language, SQL (pronounced “ess-que-el” or “sequel”) within Oracle.  This is the language that is used to communicate with almost all database products on the market – the standard language for any database system according to ANSI (American National Standards Institute).

SQL can be split into 2 main groups Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML).
